Shackles 1

 SHACKLES 1
I love things being done on time, keeping to time, being on time and what ever other words I can use to describe how I love not being delayed in any form.
If you get delayed by few minutes it's understandable, few hours you are allowed to be pissed or slightly angry depending on the situation but when it moves to days, weeks months or even years that's a different ball game altogether.
This woman prayed for a child for 10 solid years .
O let me not jump the gun.
Shackles is a movie written and directed by Mike Bamiloye, produced by both Mountain Zion Faith Ministries and Flaming Sword International.
Now back to my story.
A woman trusting God for a child, finally gets one but it does not seem to come with the joy and satisfaction she expected, what went wrong ??
Watch to find out.
Lessons
1.My greatest lesson was the statement "There is a whole generation waiting for you ,while you wait for the promised child"
Wait back up a little, allow me to be a little bit of an 'expansiator'.
That was God saying a whole generation has been destined to come through you,my plan concerning this group of people which will surely be, because I never lie, awaits you (more like you are the rate limiting step and because the reactions in front must  happen  to beget the product after ,you will definitely happen).so there is no divination in Isreal or enchantment against the house of Jacob that will prevent my plans from coming to pass in your life. woooooow. It will surely happen. Trust God,believe him, totally put your faith in him.
The bible says faith that is sure is also patient.
2. Sin thrives on secrecy, confess your sins ,seek mercy and be saved
3. You can always be set free from the oppression of the devil, don't allow the devil convince you otherwise.
4. Perseverance to even the last hour does not count if it did not make it to the end.

Good news, there is a second part to this movie...  shackles 2.
Summary of it is "and after you've been strengthened turn back and strengthen  others."

God bless you and see you in August.

RECLAIMING NICK

RECLAIMING  NICK BY SUZAN  MAY WARREN

Ever felt like you've wandered so far away from the truth, the cross, the comfort and safety of godly people and God's arms, that you can't find your way back even if you tried?

Well that is the preset to which this book was written.
It is more like a prodigal son finally coming home, but Papa is dead, brother has long since left home  and little  sister is the only one left to welcome him (makes you wonder who now makes up the guest list for the returnee's welcome party right ?).
He comes back to chaos, the ranch is failing and is on the brink of selling out (you know how cowboys are very protective of their land and wish it to continue in the family ,so this is a big deal),and the people he hurt are still very around ,and their memory is still as good as it was years back.

Here he is  back with a soiled reputation. How can he make people understand that he is  not the same person again, that eating with the "pigs" has reset the erring part of his brain,to make matters worse papa is not there to welcome him back.

You've  read the prodigal son story ,times without number, but have you ever wondered how life was for him after he came back ?

Through the course of this book ,I  saw the prodigal story from another light; the perspective of his loved ones. The pain they felt, the impact of his leaving and his return.

This book talk of  forgiveness of God and receiving the gift of forgiveness from the people we've hurt, and more sweetly a restoration of lost glory and honour.

To conclude note  that there will always be consequences for every action ,repercautions for every sin ,but nothing should ever stop you from running back to the arms of the father, who  has loved  you thoroughly and completely, his arms will always be wide open to receive you.
Staying away does not in anyway restore the  glory, you most come back to be restored.

Read reclaiming Nick oo you will thank me for it 😁.
Do have a fabulous weekend.

GBEMI

GBEMI.
Yea I know almost everyone has watched Gbemi. So this makes for a perfect topic of discussion today.

Gbemi a young Christian lady is ready for marriage but there is no man forthcoming. She is pressured by her mother, getting unsolicited "help " from a friend, battling a womanizing boss, nosy neighbour(that guy deserves a punch ),an estranged family relationship and  deep wounds from childhood that have not healed.
Then there is John and the drama with his Fiancee 😂😂.
I fear if I continue I'll give out the whole story. So let me stop here for those who have not watched it yet.

Now discussion points.
1. What was the  most striking message for you from this movie?
2. Who was your favourite character ,most annoying character ?
3.what was your most hilarious scene ?
4. Any inconsistency  with the plot or something you felt the production crew could have done better?
 Ok here is mine.
1.A.Inside of your vision and purpose lies your partner not outside.
I feel like this was the whole essence of the movie.
You need someone who will stand with you and run with you,not against you, that was the genesis John's  whole issue.
You will not go far in the ASSIGMENT God had given you if your help meet is not of  like mind.
B.when you hold in your hands the hurts from others  you cannot receive the blessing God is stretching  your way, just let it go,open those hands  and release them.
C.wait upon the Lord, and again I say wait.
Bible says faith that is sure is also patient.
God is never late.

2. Favotrite character-Hands down,John.
Annoying character - Gbenga, that his pap story sef was boring to hear ,talk less of the ring 🙄🙄,then he now compounded it with lies.(sheeesh).

3. I had a lot oo,but few are:
.When John was crying and his friends came to see him "brother John I  like what I'm seeing ,oya hit us with the revelation "
.When he insisted the pastor should pray for him .
.When he read out that letter on the pulpit.

4.The lightning,cinematography,costumes,locations all on point.
There were a few typos in the subtitles, some actors were a little reserved in acting their role, not so noticeable but there nonetheless.
Other than that, it was a beautiful movie.

Looking for something to cool up on and watch this weekend ,this is the movie .

Incase you didn't know it is an adaptation from the book Gbemi written by Emmanuella Evbuoma. It's free you can search for it online, yeah you are welcome 😁.
Now guys I want to see your comments ,I know you've watched this movie.
God's  blessings and have a nice weekend.

How should the Church respond?

3 movies, different people, same message. A good Christian lady fell from grace by getting pregnant out of wedlock, a pastor who...
