KENDRICK BROTHERS.

KENDRICK BROTHERS

Hi guys, welcome back, it's good to have you here.
So who has or has not heard of the Kendrick  brothers?
They  are Alex and his brother Stephen,Christian Americans who own the Sherwood pictures' movies and  together produce God glorifying, awesome, edifying  movies.

Movies released till date include:
1.Fly wheel 2003
2.Facing the giants  2006
3.Fire proof 2008
4.Courageous 2011
5.War room 2015
6.Overcomer 2019
Now I know that quite a number have watched these movies (maybe not "facing the giant" or "flywheel" which is not so popular, but make sure you watch it, of you haven't 😊).

Here is what I would want us to do:
 A. Mention how many of the 6 you have               watched.
B. Your best so far of them all.
C. A lesson from your best of the movies.

I'll go first (duh💁‍♀️)
A.6/6

B.Fire proof  and War room (it's  hard to chose 😊)

C. Fire proof.
.I learnt that love is a commitment not just a feeling,it is deciding each day that I will make this relationship with God,my family ,friends, those around me, work. Through the 'thick and thin' I  should  remain  committed.
When I am committed to something it's  easier to repair it than quickly throw it away.
Again no one has a godly relationship all worked out and beautiful always, for any good one I see, they made it happen by tending to it,making sacrifices, building it up.
.Then I also learnt of God's unfailing,never-ending love.over and over again we reject him but he keeps going after us. Hallelujah!

War room.
.Man must pray and not faint.
So many things are going wrong because we have not stood in the place of prayer, because we have relinquished our rights to the devil. It's time to rise and prevail in the place of prayer.

Novel recommendation: Lion mark series by Francine Rivers

LION MARK SERIES BY FRANCINE  RIVERS.
1.A VOICE IN THE WIND
2.ECHO IN THE DARKNESS
3.AS SURE AS DAWN.
Nearly every novel reader I've met has read Francine Rivers' Redeeming  love. While the Lion mark series by same author is not so known, suprisingly.

The novel is set in a time when the Roman empire was the world power and the Isrealites were suffering under their rule ,with raids and people being captured as slaves.
You will read of young Hadassah captured and sold as a slave to serve in an  elite Roman home, her interactions with every member of that family, her fears, her pains, her challenges, her  victories and how she stood for Christ in that home( just like the unnamed Hebrew slave that was a shining light in her master Naman's house 2kings 5).

During the course  of this read I could get so angry  at some characters that I felt like entering the book to have a word with them 😁 like what exactly  is Julia's problem.
Other times I am utterly horrified on the  wickedness, callousness and depravity of mankind, thank God arena's  no longer function (guys, there is no length to evil the devil will not take one to ooo, thank God for Jesus.)
Most importantly  I was challenged by Hadassah's  faith,in her everyday life she  stood for Jesus(go and read it to know how 😊).
A bonus that reading this book offers is you will get to know ancient Rome better, as it was a well researched book( take it as a crash course on the history of Romans).

This book will keep you turning pages, enthralled, captivated, but most importantly edified.

Biggest lesson for me
1.Wherever  you are, whatever you do,shine the light of Christ because you are his  ambassador where he has placed you.
2.Light always shines,if you are not lightening up where you are it's because you are not (being ) a light.
3.The ripple effects of just shining as God will have you do, no man can fully tell, ears have not heard nor eyes seen how far that light can travel.
Allow God use you.

I look forward to hearing from you in the comment sections. Do make sure you read this books. God bless you.

MOVIE REVIEW:THE TRAIN

THE TRAIN.
It's amazing to know your parents history and be able to retell it ...
THE TRAIN is a movie based on the true life story of Mike Bamiloye ;founder mount Zion faith ministries, written and produced by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye (his son), directed by Yemi Adepoju and  Isaac Femi-Akintunde, with a crew and cast of about 300 people, premiered on the 3rd of March 2020.

This is by far the most captivating, edge sitting, down to earth Christian movie I've watched in a while. It is totally worth your time, everything was portrayed clearly with a strong semblance to reality (e no go do you like say na act them they act🤗). This movie will let you in on who "Mike" is but beyond that it will strengthen your faith, challenge you,re-energise you,and push you back to God the author and perfecter of our faith.

Mike lost his mother at the tender age of 4 and his elder sister who was saddled with the responsibility of his care had to decide on various means to do that, we see his childhood down to his everyday activities, his growing up ,how he met his wife, and  the start of the ministry and its evolution.

This movie was a roller coaster of emotions for me.
I was at first perplexed, more like how can a boy be this stubborn and unrepentant with all the beatings, cajoling and tears (very interesting twist)?
Then I felt pity; that moment when you feel the pains the character is going through as though it were you, it was not without a sense of humour "brother Mike double double " his facial expression was everything 😂😂😂(you will understand when you watch it ).
Most importantly I was challenged, guys how can someone be completely obedient and submissive to God in such a manner? some will never understand  that  is why oga lecturer will exclaim in bewilderment "only an illiterate father will ask that of his son ..." such passion! see when the brethren were praying during the 15 minutes ministration, with sweat running down their faces, ahan!
Alaba begging  "mummy" by far is my best scene, the conviction in her speech will stay with me, challenging me for a long time. Guys I replayed and replayed it.(goan watch  it)
Worthy of note: the locations!!! They were just on point you could feel yourself being carried back in time to the 1900's, it was complete with the costumes, hairstyles and money.
The Directing, editing, cinematography, sound functions all beautifully done, the idea of the theme song while the credits was rolling and pictures kept me entranced till the (c)2020😊.(as per the end of the end)
The fact that Damilola wrote this screenplay is a challenge that we children should know our parents roots ,very important.
Translating the Yoruba language to English subtitle, must have been hard work, but it was handled very well, as a non-Yoruba speaker I flowed without questioning what kind of English I was reading .
To conclude (abi I should just keep writing 😂😁) I leave you with these words, when you see the glory, know that someone paid the price of  looking up to Jesus, enduring the pain and scorning  the shame, there are no two ways about it.
Go and watch the train.
P.s I would really love that you comment with lessons you learnt from the movie, it will surely bless another reader.
God bless you.

How should the Church respond?
